This
book was inspired by the visit of a Roma-Village in Slovakia.
The mentality of the Gypsies, between cheerfulness and melancholy,
reflect the texts of Romanian gypsy songs. They are the artistic
expression of a group of simply tolerated, underpublilized people.
Anywhere at home, in the mountains, the forests, under the open
sky - the cities are close and foreign for them. The intimate
relationship between nature and human nature leads into a magical
life.
The book leads artistically into the landscape
and the places of life of the gypsies. Interiors unfold a rich
ornamental life of their own. Animals show themselves to be useful
humanitarians. Portraits describe their own human type. In their
color, the prints are inspired by the color perception of the
Roma. The text gives a brief historical insight into the history
of this people, which is marked by displacement and persecution.
