"Spuren" is a book of the East German Wende. It based on the urban development plan of Wilhelm-Pieck-Stadt Guben - a vision of urban planning that did not come true, something that had done itself like so much in this time. These large sheets of folded architects drawings with there traces of use are living history. Graphically attractive, the correct fine lines stand on the mysterious bluish-pink-violet tone of the Hectographs.
Show through, cover up, paint over - the creation of new facts was the design idea. Powerful in vivid ductus, the network of lines will injured and superimposed. The gray of the opposite sides has an balancing effect and acts helplessness. Gold as transcendent color and promise is a vision, nothing real.
